“Shopping for bags”

Covers face I know, I know, I have not blogged in a little (long) while, but I’m back. I have no excuses but joggling blogging and full time employment is not an easy task. However, I have chosen to take this really seriously this year, let’s call it a New Year resolution. Fingers crossed.

One of my favorite accessories of all time are drum roll BAGS! I have always wanted to write a blog on bag but after seeing Mariam’s blog on how she shops for bags, I knew I had to do one.

A Bag is an essential accessory for every woman. They come in different styles, patterns, shapes, sizes and of course prices. You can tell a person’s taste, style or even personality from how they pair a bag to fit an entire outfit. There are different kinds of bags, the shoulder bags, handbags, totes, clutches, cases, wallets and purses.

What I watch out for when shopping for a bag

1. The purpose which the bag will serve is really important, whether an office bag, a school bag, a casual everyday bag, or a fancy clutch to fit an evening dress. Whatever it may be you have to make sure you have the right bag for the right occasion.

2. Budget! How much am I willing to spend?

3. Where to find the right bag to match the budget.

THE BAG

1. I personally prefer structured handbags; I like a bag that can sit on its own without leaning against a table or wall for support. A structured bag also tends to stand out more than a soft bag.

2. Leather bags: I love leather bags, the way it looks and feels is just awesome. Spend money on leather bag because they last more and also can most weather conditions.

3. Colours: most times I go for one colour, makes it look simple. My all time favorite bag colour is brown, I literally have to stop my self from gravitating towards that, if not ill have a closet full of brown bags. I tend to go for neutral colours to match most outfits.

1. My bags must be able to fit all the items I carry with me everywhere. So my Phone, notepad, wipes, mirror, hand sanitizer, wallet, and a mini makeup bag.

2. The inside: I love the inner designs as much as the outer, I don’t like my bag looking so good outside and you see different sewing patches or funny looking fabric inside the bag. I also look out for a bag with compartments.

3. Shoulder bands: I love my bags to have a long detachable shoulder band inside for conversion, sometimes when am out and I feel too tired to carry, I just throw it over my shoulder, it puts a little less strain on my arm. .

The kind of occasion would also dictate the choice of bag; you can’t be going on dates and carry a backpack. I find it hard going out without a bag, I feel incomplete I must say. I love leather hand bags with the shoulder band detachable inside, though sometimes I go for the shoulder small bags shaped like the Bvlgari Serpenti shoulder bag or the regular shoulder bag,
