Biography

Just as is the case with most children, I had my fair share of fantasies as to the kind of life I would like to have as a grown woman. My sky was adorned with a galaxy of career choices. One morning I wanted to be a medical doctor, and the next day I wanted to be a pilot; another day an aeronautical engineer and the next a lawyer. I wasn’t sure in depth what all these meant; one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to be successful. For me, success could create no better imagery than my mum. Though she was a banker, what struck me most was her sense of fashion. She would transform into a confident, hardworking woman when she puts on her corporate wears and then a traditional African mother in her traditional attire. I was intrigued by how fashion can inspire ones character and influence how others see them.

After undergoing a fashion design course in UK and tailoring course in Ghana, I designed my own clothing line which was feature in educational magazine SCORIN sponsored by Mallam Nasir El Rufai who is now the Governor of Kaduna State. I also showed my designs at two acclaimed events in the same year. While I have love for clothing design, my love for accessories has grown tremendously. A bag, a necklace or a bracelet can change the interpretation of a simple piece.
In my journey of life which is strewn with bends, straight course and turns that enrich the experience of life, I found myself broking Real Estate deals on properties in the seemingly lull market of Dubai. In just over one year, I have brokered deals of AED15 million (US$4.1million).

My Name ‘Billion’ draws a lot of attention because of what it represents, money, power, Luxury, class, taste and quality.

Join me in my bag adventure as well as materials put together for bag production.
