I often get asked this question, ‘what’s the weather like in Dubai?’ Like anywhere else in the world there is no one answer. When its cold its really cold and when its hot its really hot.
The winter season runs from January to about March, its rainy and windy during this period. The weather gets at low as 1 degree celsius. Summer which is humid and hot starts in April the average temperature is 32.9 degree celsius, this could rise at high as 40 degree celsius in June through to October.
I told my sister on her last visit to dress warm she though i was being an over zealous older sister (that I am), she dismissed my warning saying ‘calm down sister, is it not Dubai?’ On getting here she immediately had to go buy a sweater to keep warm.
People tend to have the notion that Dubai is really warm, though is has a warm climate it also get really cold.
It’s no news that it snows in some parts of UAE. The weather can also be very unpredictable with the sun out and bright this minute and the next, with the sun still out its rainy and windy.
Winter is the most suitable time for tourists in Dubai, though rain is a staple for this season, the sun still comes out to play for at least eight hours a day. Its the best weather to go to the dessert, mountain climbing and other attractions Dubai has to offer.
What season was it when you visited and how did you like it?
